The report Friday was that the Bills were interested in former Arizona Cardinals QB Kevin Kolb.
Now ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the Bills and Kolb are “finalizing a deal tonight that will give Buffalo one more starting-caliber quarterback.”
There’s no confirmation on the report from the Bills yet,
Kolb was cut loose by the Cardinals in mid-March after two seasons. He signed a five year-60-million dollar deal with Arizona in 2011.
If the Bills sign Kolb, he’s expected to compete with Tarvaris Jackson and maybe a rookie draft pick for the team’s quarterback job. Head Coach Doug Marrone indicated in mid February, when Jackson was re-signed, that he would have an open competition for the Bills staring QB job.
