Yet another NFL prospect has chosen not to run the 40 here at the NFL Combine due to injury. South Carolina WR Pharoh Cooper is not going to be put on the clock here at Indy when receivers run on Saturday.
Cooper revealed that he sustained a quad injury during training recently.
“I’m not doing the 40,” said Cooper. “I strained my quad earlier in the process. I tried to get back running last week and it was just too tight. It was about 85 percent but I’ll be doing everything else besides the 40 now.”
Cooper is an intriguing prospect with a versatile skill set. His 40 time was highly anticipated, but scouts will now have to wait for the South Carolina pro day on April 1st.
