Eagles RB Mathews probable for Sunday

It looks like Eagles RB Ryan Mathews will be back in the lineup Sunday for the Eagles after a three-game absence due to a concussion.

Mathews was a full participant in practice Friday and is listed as probable for Sunday’s game. Reports out of Philadelphia speculate that Mathews will get the lion’s share of the workload on the ground for the Eagles Sunday in their committee rushing attack.

Eagles RB Mathews looking better for Sunday

Eagles RB Ryan Mathews has missed the last three games with a concussion. On Thursday he was a full participant in practice, making it more and more likely that he returns to the lineup Sunday against the Bills.

Speculation in Philadelphia is that Mathews will get the lion’s share of Chip Kelly’s new running back by committee approach after seeing DeMarco Murray get all of 14 snaps in last week’s win over New England.

Chargers RB Mathews has sprained MCL

There are reports out of San Diego that Chargers starting RB Ryan Mathews sustained a sprained MCL in San Diego’s win over Seattle Sunday. According to national reporters he is likely to miss this week’s game against the Bills.

NFL Network reporter Ian Rapaport is reporting that Mathews could miss a month or more after being carted off the field yesterday.
