While there are no doubt a lot of NFL personnel people who have fallen in love with the skill set and upside of Auburn OT Greg Robinson, who we feature today in our Countdown to Draft Day series presented by Time Warner Cable, the offensive tackle had a lot of teammates that admired his abilities on the field as well.
Among them Auburn RB Tre Mason, who rolled up more than 1,800 rushing yards to break Bo Jackson’s single-season rushing record at the school. For Mason having Robinson to run behind was a blessing.
“It was a lot of fun. Since freshman year, I knew Greg was going to be something special. He was around that size freshman year coming in,” said Mason. “He just tightened it up a little bit. I knew he was going to something special. He demolished people. He just straight manhandled people. As soon as the ball was hiked, he was five yards down the field with a guy in his hands.”
Robinson could be one of the first five picks off the board May 8th.
