In an effort to show how the Patriots keep the Bills from improving on their performances past each time they play them, take a look at Trent Edwards stats from Sunday’s game and from last season’s game when he saw his first NFL action coming in for an injured J.P. Losman last season.
2008 stats – 13-23 120 yards, 1 TD, 2 INTs, 49.3 passer rating
2007 stats – 10-20 97 yards, 0 TD, 1 INT, 43.1 passer rating
By no means am I trying to single out Edwards because you can do this with almost any skill position player. Here’s Lee Evans.
2008 stats – 2 catches for 21 yards
2007 stats – 1 catch for 7 yards
2007 2nd game – 4 catches for 40 yards
The point is the Patriots always have something different for the Bills and each time Buffalo’s performance winds up being largely the same. Some day this 10 game string will be broken.
