Deal for Giants CB could be right for Greer

The five-year contract signed by Giants CB Corey Webster Sunday (5-$43.5M) looks to be right in line with what Jabari Greer will command this offseason as he is set to become an unrestricted free agent. His career has taken a similar path to Webster’s, where he has gradually improved each season and earned and eventually excelled in a starting role.

Greer, much like Webster won’t cost a fortune (like Nate Clements) and as a result will be an attractive commodity, especially coming off a season in which he returned a pair of interceptions for touchdowns.

I believe Greer could get better than $8M per season and close to if not better than that guaranteed number Webster got ($20M). More power to him.
