Wade Phillips has always been known as a player’s coach. A guy that trusts his players to police themselves and do the right thing in terms of preparation, focus, effort etc.
After an embarrassing season ending performance at Philadelphia that sealed their non-playoff fate (44-6) Phillips said he’s going to change his approach.
Personally I don’t see how demanding more, being harder on players is going to work after you’ve dealt with them in a different way the past two seasons. I respect him trying to change, but I don’t know if the players are going to buy it.
