Sure there are going to be arguments out there saying Houston’s Steve Slaton should have gone to the Pro Bowl instead of Marshawn Lynch. But Lynch is the one going to Hawaii.
Sure Slaton had more productive numbers than Marshawn Lynch this past season, but Lynch has done more to earn the respect of his peers and NFL coaches over the past two years, than Slaton did this past season.
Lynch’s numbers weren’t far behind Slaton and the Texans rookie was playing in an offense that really caught fire once Matt Schaub got back in the lineup.
Bottom line is NFL players and coaches have more respect for Lynch’s game right now than Slaton’s. That’s not to say that Slaton isn’t respected, but they don’t come much tougher than Buffalo’s #23.
