North Carolina WR Hakeem Nicks is expected to be a late first or early second round pick, but if he runs as fast as he says he intends to he’ll be off the board before the second round begins.
“In my training I’ve been running in the low to mid 4.4s,” said Nicks. “So hopefully I can run even lower than that, but I think people are going to be surprised by how fast I run.”
Nicks is an intriguing playmaker, who seemed to play better when the stage was bigger. He’s been compared to Anquan Boldin because he supposedly doesn’t have the big time breakaway speed. But if he puts up a low 40-time all those feelings could change.
