When Geoff Hangartner, who signed with the Bills late this afternoon, came out of college he was a fifth-round pick and largely a backup for the early years of his career at 6’5″ 301. But over the past year and a half in an effort to get on the field more he worked to put more weight on to be better at holding up inside and the results were very positive.
So much so that he became an attractive commodity on the free agent market. His play last season was described by some as the best of his career. At just 26 years of age, Hangartner may just be starting to blossom into a very, very good player.
I like that he knows the ins and outs of Kris Jenkins game having gone against him for three years in practice at Carolina. That’s a help. He doesn’t seem bothered by the big NTs in the AFC East. He’s welcoming the challenge and you’ve got to like that approach.
Not looking like anything else is happening today. We’ll continue to keep you posted.
