In the wake of Buffalo’s signing of Terrell Owens, the Jets (and Dolphins for that matter) are under greater pressure to improve their receiving corps with a proven veteran wideout. NY Daily News reporter Rich Cimini believes Torry Holt should be New York’s target.
I think he’d be a good add, but convincing him to play for the Jets, with no proven quarterback on the roster is going to be a tough sell. It’s more than likely that the last thing Holt wants is to struggle in an offense with either an inexperienced QB or a veteran that has to learn a new system coming to New York. No matter who the writers in NY feel the Jets should pursue, recruiting them there might require overpaying until their QB situation is worked out.
