During Marshawn Lynch’s news conference with the WNY media where he pledged to a fresh start off the field, Lynch also commented on the team’s acquisition of Terrell Owens.
“It was kind of a surprise to me,” said Lynch of hearing the news. “I thought it was a joke, but then I got a few text messages from some family members saying that they signed T.O.. I kind of bypassed them, you know, yeah, okay, laugh out loud. But then it really hit me when Trent Edwards called me and told me that we added another weapon to the offense.
“And, I mean, that’s T.O. what more can you say about T.O. besides what he’s going to say for himself? Hopefully he’ll come in and help us get to that goal we’ve been trying to get to for the last two years that I have been here.”
One thing Lynch can look forward to is a lot fewer eight man fronts with Lee Evans and Terrell Owens on the outside.
“Yeah, most definitely,” he said. “We should have a little more success in the running game for me and Fred (Jackson). That’ll be great.”
