During his introductory press conference in WNY after signing with the Bills, Terrell Owens referenced former teammates in Dallas that said he was a good teammate when asked about his reputation. Another former teammate, cornerback Anthony Henry, now with the Detroit Lions stated the same when asked if the Dallas locker room was as fractured as it was made out to be by the media.
Here was his most poignant comment about the Dallas locker room and T.O. courtesy of MLive.com
“Looking at the way they thought he separated the locker room, it was bogus to me,” said Henry of Owens. “But that’s the way things tend to go. It was funny because we’d watch it on television in the locker room and say ‘That didn’t even happen.’ And the one thing is you could tell if it had happened because everybody would be quiet and say nothing, but we just laughed it off. T.O. is definitely a great teammate.”
Seems the more former teammates the media talks to the more people come to Owens’ defense. And the reason Henry’s comments probably carry the most weight is he doesn’t have to toe a company line in Dallas because he’s with the Lions now.
