Facing the Steelers in Week 3 of the 2009 preseason will be the best measuring stick for the Bills team on their entire preseason slate. Going against the defending Super Bowl champs will give the Bills a good idea of where they stand heading into the fall.
While some might think there won’t be much to be gained from a preseason contest in terms of how good the team can be, with it being the second to last game before the regular season slate, it’s likely that the starters will see the most time in this game. The same is probably true for Pittsburgh.
So if there’s one game on the preseason docket that will serve as good prep for Buffalo it’s the Pittsburgh game for sure.
