Bills safety George Wilson is on to day two of his annual SportsFest held in his native Paducah, Kentucky. On Monday Wilson held his charity bowling tournament and today he’s heading up his football/cheerleading camp at Paducah Tilghman high school.
Whether it’s in his hometown or locally here in WNY Wilson is a big proponent of physical fitness, life lessons and overcoming adversity with young people.
And while he strives to make a positive impact on every kid with whom he comes in contact, the kids from his hometown are the ones that inspire him the most to give back.
“I am blessed to be in a position where I can come back home and give back to a community that has given me so much,” said Wilson. “I recognize that it means a lot to the kids when I come home, but I walk away with something special knowing that I have helped someone have a better day makes the experience priceless.”
Wilson’s teammates, Marcus Stroud, Marcus Buggs and Leodis McKelvin are helping him out down in the Bluegrass state today.
