After the Bills Hall of Fame game in Canton Sunday night T.O. Was asked about whether he thinks he’ll make the Hall of Fame and whether he cares. T.O. Said it doesn’t matter either way.
“That’s a ways down the road guys,” said Owens. “I’m not going to get into all of the Hall of Fame talk. If I get in I get in. If I don’t, I don’t.”
When asked if it matters to hiM he said.
“No, it really doesn’t. I play this game because I love it. I’m blessed to play it. Coming from U-T Chattanooga not many people expected me to get this far so I’m very proud and I think I’ve had a successful career.”
I don’t think Owens means any disrespect to the HOF when he said irt doesn’t matter whether he gets in or not. I think he’s just confident in his own mind as to what kind of player he is amd he doesn’t feel he necessarily needs to be enshrined to validate his accomplishments.
