Out of action since the Chicago preseason game Aug. 15, CB Drayton Florence could be back practicing next week according to Dick Jauron.
“It’s not an exact science, but we’re pretty confident that he’ll have a chance, maybe not for our weekend practice and our Monday practice, but possibly for Wednesday for a regular season work week,” said Jauron.
Florence was having a strong training camp before his sprained knee put him on the shelf. Whether he’ll be ready for the opener is a different story after missing three weeks of time on the field. Florence had a stranglehold on the number one nickel corner role before going down with the injury.
