Bills safety George Wilson will be back in hometown of Paducah, Kentucky tonight to present a check to his high school (Paducah Tilghman) from the proceeds raised during his Annual Sports Fest this past June.
Wilson is coming home before his regular season starts to personally say ‘thank you’ to the community and present his Alma mater a check on behalf of the George Wilson Sports Fest 2009.
George came up with Sports Fest in order to raise funds and awareness for children and the community which raised him. Sports Fest is gaining momentum on its goal of instilling proper values such as good work ethic, sportsmanship, and citizenship in today’s youth by placing an emphasis on making healthy choices.
“I have always wanted to come back to Paducah and give back,” said Wilson. “I knew that the Sports Fest would be the perfect opportunity. Each year I see it growing so more and more. Together we can make a difference and I just want to do my part.”
Wilson will present the check at the annual Paducah Tilghman vs. Mayfield game.
