Demetrius Bell did not practice with his teammates again on Monday, but did some of his most extensive work on the side with the athletic training staff. It has head coach Dick Jauron confident that Bell can return to the fold on Wednesday.
“Well he did the same thing yesterday so it is progress,” said Jauron. “He’s moving around a lot better so we’re pretty optimistic for Wednesday. We’ll see how that goes over tomorrow’s day off and a rest. But he felt okay today after the workout we gave him yesterday, so again, we think we may be able to get him back on the field on Wednesday.”
Bell has been pushing starting LT Langston Walker for playing time through the preseason before being injured in practice two weeks ago. Whether he can close the gap again remains to be seen.
