The Bills players were awakened in the middle of the night along with everyone else in the team hotel the night before their Monday night clash with the Patriots.
There was a false alarm at the hotel in the wee hours of the morning that had alarm warning messages blaring in every room for a period of five minutes.
The best part was the message said if another message is followed by this warning for your floor you must evacuate.
No message followed for any of the floors, but still another all clear message was blared over the emergency system about a half hour after the first alarm went off.
According to the front desk the alarm originated from the 23rd floor. The local fire dept is conducting an investigation today.
It could be a simple malfunction with one of their fire sensers. I always wonder if an opposing fan is pulling a prank to disrupt sleep. But there is tight security at every team hotel.
So I doubt anyone would be able to get up to the 23rd floor and just pull an alarm.
Still it interrupted about an hour in the sleep pattern for the players. Fortunately the night game affords them more time to catch up on lost sleep.
