Seeing Buffalo lock up their number one cornerback for the long term is a critical move to the future success of the Bills secondary.
We’ll have an exclusive one-on-one interview with Terrence up shortly in the media lounge where we had an opportunity to speak to him just minutes after he signed the deal this afternoon.
McGee looked relieved. I believe he wanted to get something done before the season because he didn’t want it hanging over his head while trying to focus on football.
But this is a rock solid signing by Buffalo. The guy is a gamer, never complains, plays hurt (@Miami, @NY Jets last year), is a solid teammate, good citizen and wanted to be back here as you’ll here in the interview. After seeing the departures of previous #1 corners like Antoine Winfield and Nate Clements it’s great to see the Bills hold onto one.
McGee really thinks this secondary can go places.
“I feel we can be one of the top secondaries,” he said. “We have the guys to make the plays, we’ve just got to go out there and make it happen. We have a lot of vocal leaders back there and we’re working hard in practice doing extra film study on Thursdays and Fridays. So we’re doing everything we can to be the best secondary we can be on Sundays.”
McGee and McKelvin long term on the outside with Corner here for the foreseeable future is a good start. Florence will be here next season as well. Youboty’s deal is up after this year, but Lankster will be here too. It’s going to be a good group for a while.
