Donte Whitner had his home burglarized on Sunday and commented on it for the first time Monday.
“I can’t say too much about it,” said Whitner. “There is an investigation, I can say that. It has taken place. It’s in the very early stages and there were some things taken. No one was harmed, but there were some things taken.”
The Associated Press is reporting that $400 thousand in jewelry was stolen.
A week after Leodis McKelvin’s front lawn was vandalized, Whitner was asked if he’s disappointed knowing it’s now two incidents in two weeks in which a Bills player has been a victim of a criminal act.
“I think it’s two isolated incidents,” he said. “I wouldn’t say its fans or anything so I don’t want to point any fingers. But the fact of the matter is something happened. It’s very disappointing.”
