Former Bills DE Anthony Hargrove, whose trouble off the field ultimately ended his time in Buffalo has reclaimed his career with the Saints in New Orleans.
Currently a rotational defensive lineman for New Orleans, Hargrove has played both DE and DT for the Saints and has five tackles through two games.
“In Anthony’s case he’s come in here and really worked his tail off,” said Saints head coach Sean Payton. “Got his weight down and is in good shape. He’s playing with a high energy level and he’s taken advantage of this opportunity and am happy for him.”
Hargrove had to work his tail off to make the roster after sitting out all of 2008 due to a violation of the league’s substance abuse policy.
