T.O. will give back key if short on TDs
Posted by on October 28, 2009 – 4:35 pmEveryone remembers the presentation of the key to the city of Buffalo made by Mayor Byron Brown to Terrell Owens, not long after he signed with the Bills as a free agent this offseason. In exchange Owens promised 10 touchdowns and the playoffs.
Knowing he’s off to a slow start on the touchdown tally with one through seven games, Owens said he’d return the key if he didn’t make good on his promises. But he’s also not counting himself out yet.
“I’ve got to hold up my end of the bargain,” he said. “If I don’t get those 10 touchdowns then I have to give the key back. The season’s not over yet, I can still get those 10.”
