Bills guard Andy Levitre made sure he gave back to his hometown community before his rookie season as an NFL lineman was over.
Levitre donated $5,000 to his former high school (San Lorenzo Valley) in his native California to help provide funding to stadium lights for their high school football team. “When I grew up and went to high school, we always played on Saturday afternoon, and we missed watching all the college football games,” Levitre told the Press Banner. “I got to thinking, most high schools play on Friday night, and we can’t. I just wanted to give back to my high school and the football program.”
The NFL will match the donation as is their custom with player donations to scholastic and community programs.
