The Bills had the unusual luxury of having the only head coach job opening in the league after the Browns decided to retain Eric Mangini. That’s all changed now with Friday’s news.
Fox Sports is reporting that the Seattle Seahawks have fired head coach Jim Mora. What’s perplexing is the Seahawks are searching for a GM right now, so jettisoning Mora at this time comes off as a bit strange. Granted the new GM would likely want his own choice for coach, but don’t you leave that decision up to the new GM you hire?
Either way there are two job openings now and the Bills will have competition for not only head coaching candidates, but assistants as well. The only good news is the Seahawks coaching search will not begin in earnest until their GM is in place.
