Jets permission update
Posted by on January 11, 2010 – 5:35 pmAccording to the NY Daily News permission has been granted to the Bills by the Jets to interview offensive coordiantor Brian Schottenheimer.
With the game plan presumably being formulated and finalized Tuesday, it’s likely that the interview will take place later in the week as the Jets are preparing for their playoff game at San Diego on Sunday.
Schottenheimer is likely to be the first candidate interviewed with an offensive background and a good resume of developing young quarterbacks in light of his success with Drew Brees in San Diego and Mark Sanchez in New York this season.
He runs an offense similar to that of Norv Turner in San Diego and Cam Cameron in Baltimore, which features multiple shifts and spreads the ball around to take advantage of all of his team’s offensive weapons.
