According to various reports the Jets will grant permission to the Bills to interview offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer.
The Newark Star-Ledger is reporting permission will be extended to Buffalo. It’s not surprising in light of the fact that Jets head coach Rex Ryan put it out there last week that he felt he would lose Schottenheimer to a head coaching position.
Ryan would never stand in the way of one of his coordinators having a shot at a head coaching job, knowing how long it took him to land one himself. So getting permission from the Jets would not be the least bit surprising.
The question is when exactly would such an interview take place? With the game plan being installed presumably on Tuesday all day and then installation following in practice, the Bills may be forced to wait until the end of the week, unless an interview can happen in the evening early this week.
