University of Texas QB Colt McCoy’s shoulder suffered no structural damage according to famed orthopedist Dr. James Andrews. As a result McCoy intends to participate fully in the NFL Combine workout come late February.
According to the Austin American-Statesmen Dr. Andrews’ diagnosis was McCoy suffered just a burner in his throwing shoulder that left him without feeling in his arm for an extended period of time.
“I know the best football of my career hasn’t even started yet,” said McCoy in a teleconfernce with local Texas media. “My best football is ahead of me. I should be golden. I should be ready to go. You can question what if for the rest of my life. But I’ve moved on. I know the game’s not taken away. I know the best football’s ahead of me.”
