Five-time Pro Bowl defensive back and former Bill Troy Vincent was named NFL VP of player development for active players.
Vincent will join the league office on Feb. 22. His primary role will be to oversee the continued implementation of an array of support programs for players and their families, including the Rookie Symposium, Conduct Management Program and LifeSkills, and the design of new programs.
“I appreciate this opportunity to continue to be involved in the NFL working with active players and tomorrow’s NFL athletes,” Vincent said. “My goal is to assist the NFL in continuing to grow and remain the most respected, admired, and successful sports league in the world.”
I don’t think anyone that knows Vincent’s ambitious spirit is surprised that he’s landed a VP job with the league. He has credentials that not many former players have.
