University at Buffalo RB James Starks, who has been invited to the NFL Combine, confirmed that he will be participating fully in the workout drills in Indy later this week.
“I’m trying to go there and show that I’m 100 percent and that my shoulder is strong and I’m willing to do anything and show scouts I’m ready to play at the next level and that nothing is holding me back,” Starks told NFLDraftBible.com.
After back-to-back 1,000-yard rushing seasons, Starks’ senior season was wiped out by a shoulder injury suffered last August. Starks also has receiving ability as evidenced by his 52 receptions as a junior.
Starks said he anticipates that he’ll weigh in around 223 to 225 pounds as he’s added about 6-8 pounds of muscle. He also said he hopes to run in the 4.4s.
