Baltimore Ravens backup QB Troy Smith hasn’t been shy about stating his interest in going home to Cleveland.
The restricted free agent was tendered at the low level which equates to draft pick compensation in the form of a 5th-round pick if another NFL team signed him to an offer sheet and the Ravens chose not to match.
Smith’s agent told the Canton Repository that Smith would be very interested in playing for the Browns.
Ravens head coach John Harbaugh have nice things to say about Smith when he spoke at the NFL combine late last month, including that he felt Smith could be a starter in the league.
The agent for Smith also said he had heard second-hand that there may have been some discussions between the Browns and Ravens.
