Kickers and punters in the NFL are kind of a private fraternity. That’s why Bills punter Brian Moorman made sure to pay homage to a mentor of his at the NFL level.
With reports that 23-year veteran Jeff Feagles is going to announce his retirement on Friday, Moorman gave a public tip of the cap to the Giants punter on his twitter account.
brianmoorman Congrats to Jeff Feagles on an Amazing career. I was lucky to learn from him while in Seattle and will always be thankful for his help.
Moorman was the wide-eyed rookie in Seattle’s training camp in 1999 and 2000 serving as an extra leg at the time behind the entrenched veteran Feagles who spent five years with the Seahawks (1998-2002). But that didn’t keep Feagles from showing Moorman some of the ropes over the course of those two training camps. After two years in NFL Europe (2000-2001) for Moorman the rest is history that Bills fans are all too familiar with.
