Bills QB Trent Edwards did an in studio interview with Double-X radio in San Diego late last week and commented on how he feels going into this season, including his belief that the team has the right pieces in place to have success in 2010.
“Optimism is at an all-time high right now because of our coaching situation,” said Edwards. “I think that as a player you have to believe in the coaches that you have coaching you and I am the type of player that is going to believe in the guys that are in front of me, believe in the guys that are coaching me and I do believe that we have the people in place now, yes.”
Edwards, who was in San Diego attending Drew Brees’ golf tournament, also admitted that he was happy the Bills didn’t draft a quarterback in the first round. He called it a “boost of confidence.”
The Bills QB is back in Buffalo this week as he gets set for the start of voluntary OTAs.
