When a player under contract misses training camp fines are pretty much inevitable. So Aaron Schobel is naturally expecting to see some fines coming his way soon.
Schobel, who told Buffalobills.com that he is now “70-30” to play in 2010, has been quoted as saying he just needs about 10 more days to make a decision. He’s now hoping the Bills will give him the little time he still needs.
“I need to make a decision soon,” he said. “If Buffalo will give me that much time, and I realize there will probably be some fines, and I’ve had a lot of time to make my decision.”
Schobel understands he can’t hold the Bills hostage so I would expect him to make a call one way or the other by mid-August at the latest. Everyone just needs to remember this is a decision about his family first and his career second. So if family logistics can be worked out in this short window of time I think it improves the chances of him returning.
