When the Jets signed LaDainian Tomlinson, he was viewed as a complementary back to youngster Shonn Greene, who would be in for third down packages. That changed Sunday night in Miami.
L.T. not only started, but got the bulk of the work in the run game carrying 15 times for 70 yards and a touchdown. He also got most of the goal line work in the run game. Greene got 10 carries for 36 yards.
Tomlinson was also more productive averaging 5.6 yards per carry this season to Greene’s 3.5. It looks like L.T. will be the starter this week against the Bills at Ralph Wilson Stadium barring a change in plans.
