Bills head coach Chan Gailey wasn’t sure that Torell Troup would be able to practice Friday due to a fibula injury, but the defensive tackle was out there going full speed, improving his chances to play on Sunday.
“I don’t know,” said Troup when asked if he is going to play Sunday. “It all depends on what coach Gailey tells me. I wasn’t limited at all today. I went through all the drills full speed. I was actually trying to come off the ball a little too hard and some of the guys had to remind me we were only in lighter pads. But I hadn’t been out all week so I wanted to feel some contact.”
Troup was injured in last week’s game when another player fell on his leg in the second quarter. He’s officially listed as questionable.
“The leg feels good, but it’s up to coach,” said Troup. “I’m just going to wait and see what they have to say.”
“That’s very encouraging,” said Gailey of seeing Troup practice Friday. “We still are going to list him somewhere in that questionable category, but he’s at least got a chance to get on the field for us. We’ll see on game day.”
