Bills QB Ryan Fitzpatrick was asked how he intends to approach this offseason knowing for the first time in his career he’s the entrenched starter at the end of an NFL season.
Fitz chose to table the topic with one game left in the season.
“We’ll evaluate it after the season is over,” he said. “My focus right now is getting back there on the field to rebound from last week’s performance and just trying to go out there with the guys that we have and getting a win against the Jets.”
Fitzpatrick is under contract through 2011, and Chan Gailey has made it clear that “right now” he feels Fitz gives his team the best chance to win. Naturally a lot can happen in an offseason, but we’ll see what the tone of the season wrap up is like next week.
