Yes, the Jets will have their top wideout in the rematch with the Bills in Santonio Holmes, who missed the first meeting because he was out on suspension. Throwing Holmes, Braylon Edwards and Dustin Keller at any defense is a pretty good trio, but Chan Gailey has higher priorities for his defense on Sunday.
“What we have to do is make sure that we stop the run,” said Gailey. “That’s the one thing I’ve told (defensive coordinator) George (Edwards) this week is let’s stop the run. We’ll worry about getting a hold of those (receivers) down the field at whatever point in time we need to do that.”
Knowing the Jets have rushed for 1,005 yards in their last four meetings with the Bills, you understand why Gailey is taking such an approach.
