Knowing that the Jets are likely to pull Mark Sanchez from the game early and some other starters may not even play like Antonio Cromartie or Darrelle Revis, it makes coordinators adjust on the fly and change things as the opponent’s personnel changes.
“It changes it,” said Gailey. “More so for the play caller than it does for anybody. The players play the game, but the play callers understand what the other team is trying to do via the personnel they have in the game.”
Of course Buffalo’s receiving corps is proving pretty tough for opponents to get a handle on as well with so much turnover there due to injury.
