University of Washington QB Jake Locker has accepted an invitation to the Senior Bowl.
Locker accepted the invite over the weekend and will play for the North team in the 62nd annual Senior Bowl tilt.
Locker chose to return to school for his senior season in 2010 instead of declaring himself eligible for the 2009 NFL draft. There are questions out there about his game after an up and down season, but he looks to dispel those questions with a strong showing during Senior Bowl week.
“I hope to be able to show people that I am a very effective and efficient passer and that’s one thing that I think is in question,” Locker said. “I’m looking forward to the opportunity to have a chance to prove that I’m capable of doing that. Also just being able to get around the guys and enjoying it and having a good time with it and play the game of football for what it is—a game and have fun with it and make the most of it.”
Buffalobills.com will provide coverage during the practice week leading up to the Senior Bowl with Chan Gailey’s staff coaching the South team for the Senior Bowl this year.
