RB vs. LB 1-on-1’s

Both the linebackers and running backs had their advantages when it came to 1-on-1 pass coverage and 1-on-1 pass protection in the North team practice.

The backs generally had their way with the LBs in coverage. Only Ohio State’s Ross Homan fared well on the LB side.

The situation was reversed however when it came to 1-on-1 pass protection. Most of the LBs got to the dummy QB. The RBs that did the best in pass pro were Nebraska’s Roy Helu and Oklahoma’s DeMarco Murray.
