According to the Washington Post and Mac’s Football Blog, Eagles DT Mike Patterson is set to become a free agent at the end of the month as the final five years of the eight-year deal he signed in 2008 are about to be voided.
The reason the remainder of his contract will reportedly void is because 2011 will not be the final capped season during the term of his contract. UPDATE: An Eagles official has reportedly refuted the Washington Post report on Patterson saying he will not become a free agent.
