Pitt WR Jonathan Baldwin has plans to work with Jets CB Darrelle Revis to prepare for the more physical corners in the NFL.
“After the combine I’ll be working with Darrelle personally doing one-on-ones and press release and things like that. Darelle Revis is one of the best corners in the game so I’m pretty sure that’ll help me get ready for the next level of cornerbacks.”
Getting off the jam is often more difficult for bigger wideouts as defenders can get into their chest and re-route them being such big targets. Baldwin has been knocked for not getting off the jam consistently enough.
Baldwin and Revis both hail from Aliquippa, PA which has produced more than its share of NFL players including Ty Law and Mike Ditka, and obviously both went to Pitt as well.
A third-year sophomore, Baldwin said he spoke with now former head coach Dave Wannstedt in making his decision to leave school early for the NFL.
