USC’s Tyron Smith, one of the top offensive tackle prospects has dropped out of the combine.
That according to NFL.com writer Steve Wyche. Smith, who weighed in at a solid 307 pounds Friday, added 20 pounds to his frame and is considered the most athletic offensive tackle in the draft. He’s also considered the offensive tackle with the most upside, but according to Wyche, Smith dropped out of the combine after participating in the bench press.
According to the National Football Post, Smith had surgery two months ago to repair a torn lateral meniscus, and plans to work out at his pro day at USC on March 30th.
No word as to whether or not there was an injury sustained by the USC offensive lineman.
