BC’s offensive tackle Anthony Castonzo solidified his stock as a top 15 pick at his school’s pro day.
Castonzo went through positional drills and according to the Sporting News showed some unexpected power in the run blocking drills. Most think the first tackle off the board will be either Castonzo or USC’s Tyron Smith, who has the biggest upside in the class in the opinion of most draft analysts.
Castonzo’s teammate Mark Herzlich and OLB, was lacking in explosion according to the report, something that has eluded him since he came back from bone cancer which cost him the 2009 season. Timing in the 4.9s for a 40 time might make him an early middle round pick instead of a second rounder where he was initially forecast to come off the board.
