Bills QB Ryan Fitzpatrick was under some of the most frequent pressure of all the NFL quarterbacks last season.
That according to the stat gurus at Pro Football Focus, who have Fitz as the third most blitzed quarterback for the 2010 season behind only Bruce Gradkowski (57.8%) and Joe Flacco (49.5%).
Fitz was blitzed on 227 of his 449 dropbacks last season (45.95%). That was more than rookies Colt McCoy, Sam Bradford and Jimmy Clausen, though not by much.
Buffalo’s starting QB also ranked 19th in the league in completion percentage when blitzed (56.65%), which was a very, very slight drop from his completion percentage for the season (57.8%).
He also ranked 19th in touchdown to interception ratio when blitzed (1.3).
