National Guard Sergeant Kevin Reynolds had been to Bills community events prior to be selected for last Friday night’s uniform unveiling ceremony.
One of six servicemen that are Western New York natives, Reynolds has served as a representative for the National Guard in conjunction with the Bills and their High School Player Development (HSPD) program.
“We definitely enjoy it because even as military recruiters we encourage kids to stay in school,” said Reynolds. “If we have kids that come to us and say they’re dropping out or thinking about dropping out and getting their GED we tell them to stay in school. So anybody that’s willing to step up and help out and keep them in school and keep them in sports we love being a part of that. Kids that stay in school and sports stay away from drugs and all the other stuff. Any event like that we love it because we know it helps.”
