General Manager Buddy Nix on Kyle Williams’ contract extension — “First of all, it was a good win, even if it is preseason.  There was a lot said about why we did things.  This guy was a fifth rounder that is all about production, and that’s why it’s a huge event for us.  To have him and know that he can finish out his career as a Bill.  He does and he exemplifies what we’re looking for in a player.  Everything he does is wide open.  He’s a good leader, not a “rah-rah” guy, but when he talks people listen.  So it’s a good thing for us and we’ll all be able to enjoy it down the road.”

DT Kyle Williams on his recent contract extension – “Well I think, first and foremost, I would like to thank Mr. Wilson and Russ (Brandon), Buddy Nix, Chan Gailey.  I’ve said, when we started this thing, when everybody found out we were talking three or four weeks ago, I said that this is where I wanted to be.  That I wanted to see it through, what we had started here and I meant that.  You guys have been around me long enough.  When I tell you something I’m pretty much telling you the truth.  It meant a lot to me that when I went through the draft, I feel like everybody got it wrong four times, but when they got a fifth opportunity I think they got it right.  And I told you guys that a couple of weeks ago and I believe that.  Outside of that also I’d like to thank my wife and my family, things like that, because I can’t do a lot of things I get to do if it wasn’t for her.”
