DAILY REPORT

— HALL OF FAME COACH JOHN MADDEN PICKS BUFFALO BILLS OFFENSIVE LINE AS TOP PROTECTORS AFTER DOMINANT WEEK ONE VICTORY
Opening the season on the road in one of the most hostile stadium environments in the NFL, the offensive line of the BUFFALO BILLS turned in a dominating performance in helping the team to a Week 1 victory over the reigning AFC West Champion Kansas City Chiefs.  This impressive feat establishes the offensive line of the Buffalo Bills as early season front runners for the third annual Madden Protectors Award, presented by Prilosec OTC. The award honors the NFL’s best offensive line and will be presented during the week of Super Bowl XLVI, which will be played on February 5, 2012 in Indianapolis.  More info at buffalobills.com.

— QB Ryan Fitzpatrick has been nominated for the FedEx Air player of the week award.  Fans can vote for Fitzpatrick at http://www.nfl.com/voting/players-air-and-ground.

— The Buffalo Bills announced this morning that the team has signed CB Reggie Corner and placed LB Robert Eddins on Injured Reserve.  Corner re-joins the Bills after being released on September 3rd. The 5-9, 181-pound Akron product entered the NFL as a fourth-round (114th overall) draft pick of Buffalo in 2008. — The Buffalo Bills announced that the team has signed WR Ruvell Martin (pronounced RUE-vell) to the 53-man roster.  Martin re-joins the Bills after being released on September 6th. The 6-4, 220-pound Saginaw Valley State product has totaled 65 catches for 1,006 yards and seven touchdowns in 53 games with nine starts since entering the NFL as an undrafted free agent with San Diego in 2004. Buffalo also announced that the team has placed WR Marcus Easley on Injured Reserve.

— The Bills also announced that the team has signed CB Terrence Wheatley to the Practice Squad. The 5-9, 185-pound Colorado product entered the NFL as a second-round (62nd overall) draft pick of New England in 2008. Wheatley appeared in 11 games with the Patriots before being released on November 6, 2010 and signing with Jacksonville on November 9th.  Buffalo released QB Levi Brown from the Practice Squad.
